To use your Apple Smart Watch, you’ll need to pair it with your iPhone. In this guide, we will tell you how to bind your Apple Watch to your iPhone.
The Apple Watch is a device designed to coexist side by side with the iPhone. We can say that Apple Watch is an accessory of the iPhone. Therefore, it is essential to pair Apple Watch with your iPhone. We explain the procedure step by step below.

Here are the main requirements:
• Having an iPhone 5 or higher device running iOS 8.2.
• Activate Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on the iPhone.
• Make sure you have the necessary time to do the task because the procedure will take about 20 minutes.
Make sure both devices are fully charged, especially the Smart Watch. The procedure can take about twenty minutes and the combo “active sensors + battery calibration of Apple Watch is not yet perfect” could significantly deplete your device. Also, keep both the devices closer as you pair and sync them.
Steps for binding Apple Watch with iPhone.
The first thing you need to do is turn on your Apple Watch. To do so, press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo: after a few seconds you will be prompted for the desired language. Scroll through the list by swiping the screen or rotating the Digital Crown and choose the language you want to set.
After choosing the language, you will see a message that will ask you to open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Open the application on your iPhone so you can continue with the connection process.
Now point the camera of your iPhone at the screen of Apple Watch and you’ll see some instructions provided in the app on your iPhone. Follow the on-screen instructions (discussed below) and the app should pair the two devices properly.
Alternate Method for Pairing your SmartWatch with iPhone Manually.
If the automatic detection does not work or you don’t want to use the camera feature, you can use the manual process to pair Apple Watch with iPhone.
1. Launch the app on your iPhone and then tap on the option “Start Pairing”.
2. You’ll see the option “Pair Apple Watch Manually” at the bottom of the camera viewfinder screen. Tap on it.
3. Now tap the “i” icon on Apple Watch to see the name of your smart watch.
4. Now just go in the app on your iPhone and select the name of your Apple Watch when it becomes visible.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions (described below) provided in the app.
After following the on-screen instructions, your Apple Watch is now paired to your iPhone.
You will be asked to accept the following options:
• Terms and conditions of use
• Using Siri
• Approval of the device via iCloud
These are not options – are mandatory steps and you’ll have to necessarily accept all these options to use Apple Watch. You will also be asked to create a passcode (or a common password), which can be as short as a four-digit password. This protects your data.
Decide if you want Apple Watch is unlocked directly from your iPhone.
This request will be made through a pop-up on Apple Watch. It basically means that while the watch is on your wrist and is paired, you do not need to enter a password. Select “Yes”, but you can change your mind later.
Wait for data synchronization.
Now Apple Watch will review your entire apps and raises that are compatible with it (only apps that are optimized for clock). The procedure may take 10 minutes or more, depending on the number and size of the app to be installed.
