Top Free Ninja Games for iPhone & iPad devices

These are the best iOS ninja games to experience the life of ninjas on your mobile devices

Best free ninja games for iPhone & ipad

There are many classes of games around, but few are as culturally enticing as ninja games. Yeah, we might currently be seeing the renaissance of shooting games like Call of Duty and its created wartime counterparts, but ninja games are a classic.

The best part about these classes of games is they have been adapted for many different situations. If you want an adventure-style game, one-on-one combat game, or a simple “chill and slice away” kind of game, there’s a ninja variation of it lying around and I’m about to bring them to your notice.

What are the best free Ninja games for iPhone or iPad?

It becomes increasingly difficult to pass through hundreds of games on AppStore to look for ninja games that are really worth playing. Here are my 10 best ninja game picks for iOS devices chosen for their graphics, addictive gameplay, and fun.

Ninja Arashi

I wasn’t sure of this game at first but I followed the reviews and was happy I did. It had the feel of vector but with ninja elements and the excellent ninja-anime music and sound effects. At first, things seemed a little bit too easy but that was probably a sort of introduction as there were little tips and info along the way. However, as the levels passed by and I settled into the storyline, the game became very enjoyable. A good recommendation for ninja game fans.

Ninja Turtles: Legends

Price: Free/ IAP from $1.99 – $19.99

It’s hard to be a gamer nowadays without knowing the ninja turtle characters. They were a big influence on most of us growing up and you could play with their characters by downloading this game. Thankfully, the game is as challenging as the animation seemed to be for the characters. There are 70 stages, spanning the entire turtle universe and populated with villains you grew up loving to hate. Unfortunately, the game is quite old and some elements might be less than satisfactory.

Shadow Knight Ninja

Price: Free/ IAP from $0.99 – $4.99

This is an all-action ninja game in the mold of the ninja arashi. However, this is even more challenging and had better skill moves for me to utilize. If you play this game, you would get to face off against both human-sized and monstrous enemies. Though the gameplay was simple and doesn’t allow for much depth of detail, the graphics were clear with the sound effects, music, and easy-to-employ controls rounding off an impressive package.

Soul Of Ninja

Price: Free/ IAP from $0.99 – $18.99

A 2D ninja game like some of the others on this list has few chances of going wrong with the graphics. It is an excellent arcade-style fighting genre game. The sound effects and music are also good and along with the color and video effects, make for nice viewing. The biggest issue I had with the game was the difficulty. I didn’t find it very challenging, but I hope that it starts to get more difficult further down the line.

Shadow Ninja Assassin

A samurai warrior game is built around the king’s castle. The graphics of this game fall into the “good enough to enjoy” but not exceptional class and the soundtrack starts to get boring after some time of playing the game. However, the game proper isn’t too bad. You get to experience the stealth expected of a ninja, sneak in to do what needs to be done, and finish enemies that discover you while playing the part of a samurai. Exciting, right?

Shadow Fight 3

Price: Free/ IAP from $2.99 – $19.99

Shadow fight 3 has been around for a little over 4 years. It’s an exciting mix of RPG games and classic fighting games. It will allow you to equip your character with countless deadly armor and unusual weapons, and live epic struggles with simply spectacular animation effects. It has nice enough graphics and the storyline (as far as I’ve gotten it) has not been disappointing. The characters are not rigid in looks as well; there are options for customizations as you play away.

There isn’t much learning to do to get accustomed to the controls of the game and if you feel there is need for practice, there is a training room to help hone your moves. Other than the storyline format, there are extra game modes you can try out if you are interested.

Fruit ninja

Price: Free/ IAP from $0.99 – $9.99

This is a classic fruit-slicing game that is one of the best addictive games for smartphones. There seems to be a new fruit ninja game flying around but the classic that has entertained players for years was worth reviewing first. The interface is easy to understand and it doesn’t take much in the way of settings or customizations to start playing.

The game is fairly straightforward; all you have to do is slash the fruits that frequently float onto the screen and avoid the bombs that infrequently float up. Accurate slices would be rewarded with the satisfying splatter and swish video and sound effects respectively. Then, there are the little tidbits that share the advantages of consuming fruits; entertaining and informative.

Clumsy ninja

Price: Free/ IAP from $1.99 – $9.99

Talk about a game that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Even from the training phase, you would have a lot to smile or laugh about, depending on your sense of humor. The graphics are ideal for a game of this grade; not too shabby that it disgusts, but good enough for adults to be satisfied.

If the word “ninja” makes you think of martial arts and fighting, this game isn’t for you. Others on the list might prove handy in that regard. This is simply an “I’m exhausted and would appreciate a few laughs” type of game. You have a fully interactive ninja that would do whatever catches your fancy.

Ninja Warrior

Price: Free/ IAP from $0.99 – $9.99

Another shadow ninja game that mixes fighting games, RPG, and warzone in one. I just realized I didn’t check to see if both were from the same developer but if they are, they certainly did better work on this soundtrack. The voiceover providing instructions at the beginning was also a great touch. The graphics are just about okay though there isn’t much detail and depth to the characters. The combat and action could do with some improvement as well but the gold here is in the storyline.

Mortal Kombat

Price: Free/ IAP from $1.99 – $19.99

I know that this is not an outright ninja game but it has ninja elements and it would have been criminal to ignore it. It is the ultimate fighting game you can play on your iPhones or iPad devices. The graphics are amazing (in line with its reputation) and the characters are downright legendary in the combat gaming world. If challenging is the goal, mortal Kombat overdid itself. Surprisingly, the game is

Ninja Must Die Free

Price: Free/ IAP from $1.99 – $14.99

Ninja Must Die is a cute little endless running game for iPhones. It has a sensational graphic design simulating oriental ink drawings. As you progress the game you will be able to execute various cool actions and stunts including replication, shadow walk, blaze guardian, and more than only true ninjas can do. A nice title to spend add times.

Game reviews are some of the hardest to make because there are many options to consider and this increases the dependence on reviews. However, I tried to add a little bit of everything and I hope you find something you like on my list.
